ABOUT US

Who We Are

IQCapital Management is engaged in the business of providing trading advisory services to customers with respect to options on futures contracts, primarily index options.

IQCapital Management is offering three programs to accommodate varying levels of minimum capital requirements and investment objectives.  IQCapital Management features low starting minimums, daily liquidity, and a trading strategy for use in a variety of market conditions. IQCapital Management believes that its approach to volatility management is ideal for investors seeking alternative, uncorrelated returns, and can function as an excellent diversification for portfolios with large equity exposure.

The primary investment objective of all three program’s is growth of capital through the collection of time value by writing covered and uncovered deep-in-the-money call and put options on financial futures indices.  IQCapital Management uses proprietary algorithms to identify optimal levels to sell options and collect premium through time decay along with unique long option strategies to control and hedge risk, as well as a proprietary volatility indicator to hedge and at times go long volatility via futures contracts.

IQCapital Management has developed and uses a proprietary algorithm to manage accounts.  This proprietary algorithm is used to determine option probability on a daily basis.

TRADING APPROACH

The Advisor features low starting minimums, daily liquidity, and a trading strategy for use in a variety of market conditions. The Advisor believes that its approach to volatility management is ideal for investors seeking alternative, uncorrelated returns, and can function as an excellent diversification for portfolios with large equity exposure.

The primary investment objective of the program is growth of capital through the collection of time value by writing covered and uncovered deep-in-the-money call and put options on financial futures indices. Using proprietary algorithms to identify optimal levels to sell options and collect premium through time decay along with unique long option strategies to control and hedge risk, the Advisor also uses a proprietary volatility indicator to hedge and at times go long volatility via futures contracts.

The Advisor has developed and uses a proprietary algorithm to manage accounts. This proprietary algorithm is used to determine option probability on a daily basis. If the probability of a short option expiring in the money increases above a predetermined level, the programs will automatically exit the short option. Most of the time a new position with standard entry conditions will be entered and at times the position under risk may be rolled.

While the programs are computerized and systematic, the Advisor does have the ability to override some aspects of the trading to maximize premium collection and will only adjust risk to be more conservative depending on hedged positions. The Advisor intends to adhere to strict money management principles to increase the opportunity for long-term success of each trading program.

The Advisor may also at times take a directional approach by going long options and/or futures or legging into short options and/or futures positions when technical indicators signal an overbought or oversold market.

The main markets utilized by the Advisor is the options on S&P 500 Index futures contract and the CBOE Volatility Index futures contract as a hedge. However, as indicated earlier, if the opportunity exists, the Advisor may take advantage of other futures markets including, but not limited to, other financial index futures and options on futures.

The Advisor reserves the right to maintain significant amounts in cash, particularly when the Advisor believes a Client account should follow a temporary defensive posture, or when the Advisor determines that opportunities for investing are unattractive.

TRADING PROGRAMS

Program 3 (Falcon Program). Minimum Beginning Account Size $50,000

This program utilizes fully covered strategies and partially covered strategies. For every put option sold, there will be an equal amount of put options purchased. The program will write calls and partially cover them with purchased options.

This program uses different preferred time frames to sell option premium based on volatility. Due to the nature of the strategies applied by Program 3, it will mostly execute trades 30 to 75 days from expiration.

Program 3 may apply a volatility hedging strategy allowing for a specific hedge in volatility futures. This hedge is not constant and is only taken when a proprietary indicator triggers a hedge. Program 3 may also buy additional calls or puts as a hedge.

Program 2 (Eagle Program). Minimum Beginning Account Size $25,000

This program utilizes fully covered strategies and partially covered strategies. For every put option sold, there will be an equal amount of put options purchased. The program will write calls and partially cover them with purchased options.

This program uses different preferred time frames to sell option premium based on volatility. Due to the nature of the strategies applied by Program 2, it will mostly execute trades 30 to 75 days from expiration.

Program 2 may apply a volatility hedging strategy allowing for a specific hedge in volatility futures. This hedge is not constant and is only taken when a proprietary indicator triggers a hedge. Program 2 may also buy additional calls or puts as a hedge.

Program 1 (Raptor Program). Minimum Beginning Account Size $10,000

This program utilizes fully covered strategies. For every call and put option sold, there will be an equal amount of call and put options purchased. This program will trade on Fixed Maximum Loss Puts (“FMLP”) margining.

Rather, total risk will always be covered to avoid a debit on the account. Under this program, the Advisor will use different preferred time frames to sell option premium based on volatility. Due to the nature of the strategies applied by Program 1, it will mostly execute trades 30 to 75 days from expiration.

While in theory a fully covered strategy limits exposure, margin and risk also limits the ability of accounts with values less than $20,000 to have additional capital to apply to more robust volatility hedging used in Programs 2 and 3. The hedge is not constant and is only taken when a proprietary indicator triggers a hedge for accounts in the program. Program 1 may purchase additional calls and puts as a hedge.
